Know before you go

• ★ The wind. Constant 30–60 km/h breeze. Bring a windbreaker.
• ★ Beach is more for walking than swimming, Atlantic is cold and choppy.
• ★ Less aggressive shopping scene than Marrakech. Bargaining is calmer.
• ★ Pet seagulls everywhere at the port. Don't carry your sandwich exposed.
